02 About Swarswapn
“SwarSwapn”, an eminent Violin Vrinda (violin orchestra) from India is a succeeding group of young violinists who have made a mark with their art across various cities and countries. This is a brainchild of Sushree.
Swapna Datar who herself in an eminent classical violin player and has creatively conceptualised SwarSwapn – confluence of the three dimensions of music; Classical, Cine and Light music.

Violin is a very challenging instrument to play as it
doesn’t have the exact keys to the exact Swara. Even if you miss your finger position by a millimetre, it becomes
tuneless. The violinist needs to be very conscious and aler
while playing. In earlier times, we used to have at least three conductors to record a song on Violin. I’m happy that these little violinists did not have any conductor but still they played so correctly and beautifully. Appreciation to the whole team and Swapna Tai.

01About Swapna Datar
Swapna Datar is one of the prominent Violin players in North Indian Classical music. She is a dedicated artist who has created a niche in the field of music as a Violinist.
Swapna has equal command over both bowing and fingering in Violin. Her Violin playing features the subtle, gradual unfolding of the Raga with embellishments syncopated with complex and interesting rhythmic patterns. Swapna has imbibed Tantakari Ang (instrumental style) and Gayaki Ang (vocal music influenced style) in Violin playing. Her solo Violin presentation marks an equal balance of both these styles, with a unique perfect congruence with Raga and Tala.
